we need to meet?
No.
My services
can be carried out online and by phone. Working this way is quicker and
keeps
the costs down. Should you require a meeting, then this can be arranged.
How
do I brief you?
Before
starting
any project, I will need as much background information as possible.
This includes
your current marketing materials, your website details and those of
your main
competitors. I will need a description of your company, your product or
service, your objective, your target audience, and the tone of voice to
be
used. The more information I have the better the results will be.
How
will I receive my copy?
As
an email
attachment - typically in MS Word format.
What
if I want to make changes?
My
quote is fixed
and includes two rounds of amendments provided they are received within
the
brief and two weeks of being sent to you. If the changes are not within
brief
then the extra work involved will be calculated and added to the
invoiced
amount.
What
do you know about my business?
It
depends on
your business. Whatever your business, the essential thing is to find
out
what’s important to your customers. To do this, I carry out careful
research and
provide them with clear, interesting and engaging information that will
overcome objections, fulfil their needs and get them to take action.
How
much is it going to cost?
Each
project is
unique so our fees vary according to the type of project, its
complexity, its size and the time taken to complete. We provide you
with a
fixed quote for the project. So, regardless of how much work is carried
out, there
will not be additional fees to pay, providing it’s within the brief.
What
do your fees include?
This
will depend
on the nature and the scope of the project, but typically:
- The
initial briefing either by phone or a meeting
- Research
- Creative
thinking time
- The
first draft of copy
- Two
rounds of amendments (if needed)
- Phone
calls and/or emails discussing copy with you.
How
do I pay?
If
you are new client,
I require an initial payment of one third of the total fee before work
commences. I will email you receipt for the payment and will invoice
you once
the project has been completed. The balance is to be paid within 10
days of the
date of the invoice. Payments can be made by cheque or direct to my
bank
(account details supplied upon request).
Do I
own the copyright to your work?
Once
you have
paid the project fees in full, all rights for the copy will
automatically pass
to you. This means you can use it any way you see fit.
Do
you provide web design services?
As
a copywriter and marketer,
I provide ideas for marketing and advertising, but I leave the images
to
graphic designers. We can introduce you to some good designers or, if
you
prefer, we will work with them on your behalf at no extra cost.
How
long will it take to complete my project?
Again,
this will
depend on the type and size of the project. We will always agree timetables and
deadlines with you in
advance, and those agreed, will be met.
Will
you respect my confidentiality?
We
take client
confidentiality very seriously and never discuss details of your
copywriting work with any non-involved third party.
What
is the process for getting started on my
project?
Contact
us to get
started. We’ll ask you questions to learn more about your business,
your project
and what you want to achieve. After we have spoken and have agreed to
work
together, we will send you a proposal that will give you details of how
we plan
to help you meet your goals.
Why
the butterfly?
The
butterfly is
our logo for two reasons. First, being a life member of Butterfly
Conservation
I wanted to raise awareness (even if only in a small way) of
butterflies.
Second, the Latin name is Polygonia C-Album, or more commonly known as
the
Comma, which being a copywriter felt was appropriate. We hope you
agree.
